My favorite subject at first was "Aaronovitch grammar", because it was an in-depth look at a unique subject for the list, but then was replaced by "British term" (entire thread), because of the rate of return on the original query, and again because of the unique subject matter for the list.
Now before someone says, "but only two years ago we discussed the Birmingham accent as recorded in a BBC broadcast dated March 12, 1971, early morning, and whether it was influenced by the Liverpudlian renaissance of that era", I will agree that there is nothing unique under the sun, because the sun never sets on the Birmingham accent.
That said (with a Kentucky accent), I will say that every person on this list comes with a unique perspective, and a broad and diverse range of interests, although we are nominally tied by our interest in Mr. de Lint. I am glad that we are back.
