My almost six-year-old mobile wasn't working well and when I learned that I'd been due an upgrade for several years I gave in and got a Sony Xperia, which has a Kindle app. I'd thought that the screen would be too small, but it works. I also do have a Kindle and I feel guilt regarding Amazon. (Amazon.co.uk apparently hasn't been as nasty regarding Hatchette, but there's still guilt.)

Same here. I have a basic TracFone that my kids got me several years
ago, for convenience in case of trouble on the road (I live at least
seven miles from everywhere but my Post Office), and last year I
upgraded to a semi-smart TracFone. Unfortunately, it's either smarter
than I am or does not work properly, probably the former. I can take
pictures with it, but so far any pictures stay on the phone, because I
have not yet figured out how to load them into my computer (I suspect
that I need a special cord) or send them to myself via e-mail. It will
do the Web, but the screen is too small for me to read pages without a
magnifying glass to supplement. Etcetera for other features.
