I am fine. Turned seventy this spring, and freed from the need to go
out and earn a living (Social Security) and drive my child to social
things, or go to social things for/with her (she turns forty this fall),
am becoming more and more of a recluse. In terms of health, I do get a
flu shot most autumns, and otherwise doing well, though I don't do much
that's strenuous. It means that I'm not doing much of anything but
grocery shopping that doesn't relate to my own house and garden. (Also
not exposed to much of anything that's contagious). Given the internet,
even shopping for things like books lets me stay in the house (except
for the daily trip to the snail Post Office). Life is much more
comfortable than it was ten years ago. Even my arthritis is much better
since I've eased off on the strenuous aspects of daily living, such as
earning one.
