Many traditional Cockneys have left the East End for Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and other such places. Check out that video link with Alastair McGowan as he goes to Kent to hear aspects of Cockney.

I work with a woman originally from Port Albert who still speaks with that accent. I rather like it.

We're driving to Monmouthshire, btw, Rick, on Thursday, for an SCA event at Raglan Castle.
