So.. as i am gradually cataloging my library online, i came across an interesting fact. Charles de Lint is the 4th! most popular author as far as number of works.http://www.librarything.com/catalog/Zefariath. I should have known, but it's still surprising to see it in numbers. If i went by number of physical books, he would be 3rd, as there are a some limited editions, i haven't been able to enter into the system, and it doesn't seem to count multiple copies of the same book unless i enter each separately. The first 3 are all Manga authors, which scarily shows how my manga passion has grown exponentially recently.I know there are many books... well mostly the chapbooks that he puts out each year, that I am still missing. Also i am not fortunate to have been able to always buy a copy of the trade, limited, and lettered copy of a book when subterranean press (www.subterraneanpress.com) puts them out, in earlier years I consoled myself with just the trade edition.Still have about 500+ books to go. the last bits of hardcover fiction, and then a couple of bookcases of various nonfiction books in all sorts of categories. (Plus all the books I've been shoving aside because i couldn't easily catalog them (no isbn, etc.)After this undertaking is completed... comes DVDs / Blu-Ray Discs / HDDVDs . I do need to find a good way to catalog those too. In both book, and movie my library has gotten to the point where i cannot keep the entire list in mind, resulting in more than one accidental duplicate purchase !What do other folks do, (who have large collections) to avoid this problem ?Fox
I use iBookshelf on my iPhone.
