Yeah, the learning part is probably the easy bit! My staff are pretty
happy with the change, since the OPAC is much better (we purchased the
Encore package) and the staff-facing stuff is at least marginally
better. My older staff report that it's easier to read the screens,
which is a bonus. I suspect we'll probably migrate to Innovative's
Sierra in a few years, if we continue to be happy with III. I'm not at
all familiar with Alma; they didn't respond to our RFP. Do they do
more with academic libraries?

I'm at Driftwood Public Library in Lincoln City. It's a little coastal
library with big ideas. ;) I took over as director in January when my
predecessor retired, and right now I'm the only MLIS-holidng member of
the staff. My circ supervisor and adult services manager, Hobbes, is
awesome, but we're both feeling a bit overworked. I'm looking forward
to hiring a third brain.
