For those not on facebook, I have to update everyone on the absolutely amazing thing Tony did. He didn't tell me about it yesterday because my emotional state was a tad precarious.
He found out (how I don't know) about a program in which volunteers take in old pets who need lots of surgery and lots of time and rehab that the owners don't have. The owners can no longer have contact with the pet, becoming former owners. It was a long shot and T didn't think it would work out. But Lily is in the program. Someone out there will take her in, pay for her multiple surgeries (and probably hand feed her at least for a while given how bad her jaw is) and obviously take very good care of and love her. I'm still in shock over this. Lily's alive.
