Yeah, there is that. Some stores have horror as a separate section next to sf/fantasy. I think I've seen a 'dark fantasy' section at at least one Waterstones. Forbidden Planet now has a paranormal romance section, which makes me feel awkward when looking for certain books that could easily be just plain old fantasy. Tanya Huff's 'The Wild Ways' is in that section, for example. (I'm not reading Mills & Boon/Harlequin, I swear! :)
