Thanks! Although it does cover pretty well-trodden ground. And of
course, only mentions two female pirates (but at least Mary Read is
mentioned--everyone is forgetting her these days). Doesn't mean I
don't want it of course. Now to see if it's published here and if
any of my friends who used to work for OUP still know people there,

Speaking of pirates, lately I've been mainlining Assassin's Creed 4,
subtitled "The Black Flag". Lots of historically dubious piratey goodness!

My husband and his friends have been playing Assassin's Creed 4. And all of them have been singing the little ditties that the characters in the game sing. *sigh*
