"douching" is something that didn't really catch on with British women
in the same way.

"tosser" is basically another way of saying "wanker" - which is much
worse in the UK than Americans seem to think it is.

On the other hand "twat" is usually quite mild here - considered to be a
cross between "twit" and "pratt". Also in Orkney it's a place name and
family name. (Twatt).
