Anecdote: A guest at Olive Garden complained about the server. Another group of people sitting at the next table called me aside to tell me everything that had been said about the server was not true. I told the server he was exonerated. His face went blank. "What is that?"
There were many things I did not like about my daughters' elementary school, but they did learn words. Good words. They learned them in ways that made the words part of their every day vocabularies. Thank you, English teachers at Tonalea Elementary School.
