Yeah, I'm with you on that. I also find that I read more slowly and
retain less when I read on an e-reader. I'm not entirely sure why; I
think the slower reading is due to less print fitting on one "page" of
my Nook, possibly, but I can't quite explain the retention. I don't
seem to have that problem with reading news articles on a computer
screen, so it's not just the digital medium.

Jen says: I think there's something about the computer screen that doesn't make things stick in your brain. Or something. We've found that since electronic copyediting and such, there are many more mistakes than when we worked entirely on paper. And I know I find more mistakes in the paper passes.
