INVITE: Restore Trust: Breaking ICE Hold On Our Community

Dear Friends,

This week we're kicking off the Restoring Trust: Breaking ICE's Hold on Our Community campaign with a national week of actions to urge local officials to turn the tide on Arizona style laws and federal deportation programs like "Secure Communities." In the wake of the Supreme Court decision on Arizona v. United States,  faith, labor, and immigrant rights groups* in over 12 cities are coming together to demand local officials take their own initiative to turn the tide at home by creating a bright line between police and immigration enforcement.

The momentum keeps growing. We hope you can join us!

You're invited to a national call Friday July 13th at 1pm est// 10am pst to learn more about these exciting local campaigns spreading across the country. Hear the latest about the California TRUST Act , dubbed the "anti-Arizona" bill which just passed the state senate! On the call, we will also share the strategy behind targeting immigration holds and valuable websites and resources for initiating local campaigns.
