I was working at a client's site over in Stroudsburg, and a family
jumped out of the van and started taking our picture, asking if we
were Amish, and if not, where were the Amish.
We were in fluorescent yellow t-shirts with our big F550 truck... and
there were three Amish farms bordering the non-Amish property we were
working on, but I wasn't about to let any of those men, women, and
children get molested by that family.
We weren't mean, snide, or snarky to them, but I think the Amish would
have been better off if we could have gotten that family as far away
from them as possible. They were looking at people living their
lives as if they were exhibits at a cheap roadside attraction, and
they demanded that we (and the Amish) perform for them.
