Oops, I forgot to explain the asterisk in my last post.
'Grockle' is a derogatory West Country word for 'tourist' that has migrated to the New Forest. I use it wherever I seem to be surrounded by tourists who walk slowly and/or take up the entire pavement (sidewalk) to check their maps, be they paper or electronic, instead of moving to the side.
Ellen, who yesterday returned the last centre's worth of A level exam marking to the exam board via Parcelforce. I'd uploaded the marks on-line. 186 exams -- two essays and five short answers each -- marked this year. For three weeks, they became my life. It seems weird to come home from work tonight and not start marking exams.
