the only things you need to bring are the things you absolutely can not do without.

Prescription medication; glasses; passport and Money -

I have found toothbrushes for sale in every city, town and wayside that I have visited.
If you are in the US a prescription can be filled at nearly any pharmacy in the country (I have forgotten my thyroid RX a time or two).
