Yes, that counts. And I'm inordinately jealous. I've also talked
with Cat Valente several times, and I've met Ellen Kushner twice and
got to talk about a book I was writing with Delia Sherman for about
half an hour at an ALA Conference.
In a more TH-related note, my girlfriend's best friend Fawn and her
boyfriend Will (who together are the folk duo The Onlies) were up
visiting and to play a house concert at Shadesong's. In the car on
the way back from the concert I had Juliana Finch (our own Fi from
years ago) playing on the iPod. Fawn started singing along and I was
surprised, because I didn't realise Juliana had much of a following
outside of Atlanta, and Fawn was impressed when I said I'd known
Juliana for years :)
