Also - 40 room nights is only 20 people with two nights each; when I
made the contract we had twice that plus in yeses and maybes.
As of right now, the following people are listed on FB as yesses:
Me (and I have told Deb why I haven't yet booked, and that I will be as soon as the slow grinding wheels of bureacracy get me to the right point in my planning.)
Deb
Jo and Wayne Morrison
Suzi SkutleyMaida Cain
Jeanette Cullum
Kathi Nash
Heather Gregg
Kristine Walker
Jette Goldie
Alexandre Muniz
Bardi O'Riley
Helen Page
Amy Manlapas
Jules Finch
I am pretty certain that several of those people are not actually planning on going, but since we have repeatedly (Deb and I and Wayne have done so in the last couple of months) asked people to change the status to reflect what's actually happening, I don't think it's unreasonable to hold them accountable.
A couple (like Owen) made clear their intent not to stay at the hotel, and I think that's fair too. But there has been resounding silence from some.
I certainly would feel accountable if my plans changed suddenly.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Ralph Waldo Emerson.
