I gotta say that some varieties of music don't even need to reach the "non-stop" quantity before I'm sure that I'm in hell. It only takes a few notes (or whatever they're using) to set me swearing and scrambling for some kind of off switch. I honestly can't understand why some valiant hero with a sledge hammer hasn't just fucking killed Kenny G yet, for instance. That man gives necrophilia a bad name.
On the other hand, I've changed my thinking about how I categorize "elevator music" over the years. I mean, hell, I voluntarily bought a copy of Getz & Gilberto, and if "The Girl from Ipanema" isn't the primary example of elevator music torture, I really don't know what is.
