I think you're making this way more complicated than it needs to be. Let the magic of modern international commerce work for you. Get on the FTD or Interflora website and see what services they offer. You may be able to call them, at a U.S. phone number. They will likely be able to find a florist near the hotel, price a bouquet for you, bill you in U.S. dollars and convert the currency, and do all this with very little effort on your end. I don't see any reason to do all the legwork that you anticipate. If you want to make your gift seem more personal, write a nice note!
