Until I start grad school in the fall, finances will continue to restrict our TV service to whatever the rabbit ears and Texas weather allow us to receive. Things were tolerable as long as Downton Abbey was on, but now that its season ended, the pickings are awfully slim. While studying in the evenings, I hear Raymond cursing at the local color programs a lot, and I even caught him watching Bob the Builder one rainy Saturday morning.
Of the shows I miss, Eureka, Big Bang Theory, and the BBC Top Gear top the list.

When I was on extreme basic cable I was able to watch some of the mid-level channels on demand. Which I thought was odd, but still allowed me to catch the syfy shows and some of the stuff I liked on TNT. (Which reminds me, Falling Skies was decent, and I think season 2 is supposed to be up soon.) If you're willing to watch on your computer screen you can also get them on hulu or the station websites, but sometimes not for a few weeks after they broadcast.
