Re: Your ideal books to own

I started reading these in high school, and enjoyed them quite a lot, and continued with the various anthologies from MZB, until she retired and then passed away.  Pern I stopped reading after the initial runs.  I think the last one I read was the one about the golden dragon rider starting with an M who time-traveled to deliver a medical cure.  It just seemed to be written in an uninspired fashion.  After that, I heard the the books crossed the line into terribleness.
