One of my former bosses would give you a lecture about it, at the
least. I still remember when I used the word "schlep" in a team
meeting to describe dragging something from one place to another, and
he spent about an hour on its origins and heritage (I knew where the
word came from) and on how I misused it (I thought I was good, and
everyone else tended to agree that I had, and I should not use another
Yiddish word in his presence again. And then one day, I said "oy
vey!"...)
