Really? I always assumed the Geico Gecko was attempting an Australian
accent, and geckos are native to Australia. Of course, they're also
native to the US (I used to have to brush them away from my door when
I came home after dark in Louisiana) but then
they couldn't give their
mascot a cool accent :)
