I own it I think. It was a great movie. First off, it's a computer animated movie, so a sentient rag doll isn't so strange. But the entire movie is sentient things...IIRC, I don't think there's real people in it at all...so it's kind of alternate universe-ey.
You'll know if you want to watch it by the opening scenes. I thought it was pretty amazing, actually. I liked it a lot. It's got some spiritual overtones, and it's...welll......it's just neat.
So I third that recommendation.

Not enough umlauts or diereses.
I think the burlap is the saving grace. Burlap is a good, honest fabric;
how could a rag doll turn bad if it's made of burlap?Without giving away too much, I'll just say thinking of them as rag dolls is a step in the wrong direction.
